Soar
One can tell that it is the beginning of Autumn, as it’s cooling breath swishes across the grassy endeavors. It is a time where nature spoils life into forgetting about where the money sits today. I hear the voices behind me fading, as I walk barefoot onto soft, stiffened grass, whilst clouds move into perfect view, and as they call my name I can only whisper to the air, “My soul has soared!” But no sound ever escapes my consciousness.
Body falls to ground
Swept up by nature’s firm grasp
Peaceful sleep in dreams

I am glad our situation is reversed my friend, with Spring finding us here. Time for the earth to wake, for a while.
That’s a great treatment of Autumn. Excellent.
Wonderfully written “My soul has soared!” I loved it.
I love “my soul has soared” too…. even if you are not shouting it, LOL. A touching poem for sure!

beautiful!
Autumn’s cooling breath, soft stiffened grass, falling body – soaring soul; a sad yet elevating depiction of the autumn of life.
This is ViV, on Sally’s computer!
Loved the poem, specially grassy endeavour, and the feeling of ecstasy you portray.
